Bruschetta with pesto sauce

No forks needed! Heap your bruschetta with spoonfuls of Giovanni Rana’s Simply Italian Basil Pesto, sweet cherry tomatoes and basil leaves as a starter or pasta side dish.

Serves 2

  • 80g French Baguette

  • 200g cherry tomatoes

  • Pinch of salt 

  • Pinch of sugar

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/Gas Mark 4.

  2. Cut your baguette into slices on an angle and lightly toast for 3-4 mins. 

  3. Place a baking tray that’s suitable for the oven over a medium heat to warm while you wash the cherry tomatoes. Arrange the tomatoes on the tray and sprinkle over a pinch of salt and sugar. Bake in the oven for five mins.

  4. Generously heap "Giovanni Rana Simply Italian Basil Pesto with Pine Nuts & Garlic" onto the bread and once the tomatoes are cooked arrange those on top too.

  5. Serve warm or cold.
